April Showers

I woke up to bad weather today, putting a damper on my plans for photos. A blanket of heavy, wet snow covered the ground and was slowly melting as the morning drizzle washed it away. I decided to take Rocky out for a ride anyway, and he seemed game.

We braved the cold, damp conditions for a quick walk at Willow Metropark. We were both trying to make it work, but we seemed to give up in unison, running back to the warmth and comfort of my FJ Cruiser. I dried him off, cranked up the heat, and held my hands up to the vents to thaw them out before heading home.

By afternoon, the dreary skies had me down in the dumps. Rather than let the weather win, I decided to head out with my camera again, this time by myself. Standing up to the elements paid off, and I got this great bad weather selfie before heading back to the warmth of home.

April weather is a crapshoot in Michigan. We’ll see if tomorrow brings sunshine or freezing rain. I’m ready for either one.
